Why?

Pausing your account right now would be the equivalent of pausing your Netflix account, but then finishing off the last few seasons of the show you're currently watching. The "pausing" feature is intended for members who have no remaining upcoming interviews or releases and are truly taking a break or incurring rare life circumstances. Because PodMatch relies on both podcast guests and hosts working together to ensure interviews happen smoothly, and since PodMatch logs every step of the way, we ask that you remain active on the platform and following the system prompts to ensure a successful interview experience through to completion.

Here at PodMatch, we believe in leading with value. Because of this, we've ensured that the value of our service far outweighs the cost associated. Because of PodMatch's affordability and its value, the system is designed for all members to remain active through the interview process.

When Can I Pause My Account?

You may continue once your pending/upcoming interviews are either complete and released or they have been cancelled. Once your "queue" is empty, you'll be able to return to this page and pause your account.

You can find all of your outstanding bookings on your dashboard: upcoming interviews are located in the center of the page within the "Upcoming Interviews" section and any that have gone beyond their originally scheduled date & time will be present in the To-Do List panel also on the dashboard.

What Else Can I Do?

There are three additional options:

1. If you want to slow down the number of interviews you do, please go to your settings page, and toggle the visibility of your profile to "invisible." (Then, once your upcoming interview queue reaches zero, you can pause your account.)

2. You can completely delete your account, but please note that this process permanently deletes all account information, including: existing interview bookings, all message threads, and all your prior history.

3. You can submit a support ticket pleading a special case for admin consideration. However, please keep in mind that with active upcoming interviews, your request will likely be viewed as gamification, and will be respectfully rejected in a majority of cases.

Pausing your account will make you invisible to all potential matches and searches performed on the explore page within PodMatch. Do this when you want to go "on break" from podcasting for a season.

While deactivating makes you impossible to find for any new potential hosts or guests within PodMatch, you will still be visible to any existing message threads you currently have active. Your profile page will also be visible to anyone who currently has your PodMatch member link or if it is referenced as a link anywhere on the internet.

Once you continue, you will be automatically logged out and your billing will paused.

Once you log back into PodMatch at any time, your account will be automatically reactivated and billing will resume.

Important notes:

1. While paused, all your affiliations are maintained and any members that additionally join through your affiliate link will still be attributed to you, however you will not be earning commissions while paused. Earning commissions will immediately resume as soon as you login and your account reactivated.

2. You can pause your account for up to a year. After one year we'll assume your break is permanent and, to protect your data, your account will be deleted. (We'll send you a reminder email)
